What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-intrusive, holistic therapy that works on the theory that different points on the feet and hands are linked to corresponding areas of the body. The word "holistic" comes from the Greek word "holos", meaning whole. Holistic therapists consider a whole person's body, mind and emotions, not just any symptoms they are presenting.
Reflexologists methodically manipulate/massage the feet to clear any energy blockages, which may show up as tender, lumpy or “crunchy” areas on the feet, to allow the free flow of energy throughout the body. This creates a state of balance and harmony that encourages vitality, relaxation and self-healing. The treatment is extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. Reflexologists do not claim to cure illness, but aim to enable the systems within the body to reach a state of balance, promoting self-healing.
Reflexology has been found to be beneficial in reducing stress and anxiety, but can also help with improving circulation, restoring sleep patterns, boosting the immune system and energy levels, calming digestive problems, reducing pain and muscular tension, plantar fasciitis, headaches and so much more! It is suitable for all ages.
